Easy Photo Color Correction

Adjust the colors of your photos by using Curves in Photoshop

There are many ways to color correct an image in Photoshop, and today I’m just going to show you one of them. I am using this photo of my daughter sitting in our daisy patch, she’s wearing a nice bright-colored shirt, making a good contrast against the grass.

However, I’m mostly concerned about her skin tone, especially in her face. I’m noticing that the grass color is reflecting on her skin over here, and I’m not quite sure how that would look when it’s printed out.

So for demonstration purposes, I’ve made a copy of this layer, which I highly recommend doing with any photo that you work on, make a copy, so that way you have the original image to work with in case things go wrong and you need to start over.

Click on Image at the top, scroll down to Adjustments, and select Curves. Because I see a lot of green in the image, I’m going to scroll down and click on green. If you see this line going across this graph, click right in the center of it and drag it down just a little bit. You can see her skin tone looking a lot healthier. Click on okay.

Now if you compare what the original image looked like with the new image, it’s very subtle, but it certainly will make a difference in how your image prints out.
